What we sell

Two hardcover picture books, For His Son and For His Daughter, at $19.99 each. All prices are in U.S. dollars (USD). Books bought directly from this website are signed by the author at no additional charge. To have a copy made out to someone, type the name in the optional autograph box at checkout.

Cancellations, refunds, and replacements

Orders ship within 30 days of purchase. If we can’t ship within 30 days, we’ll email you, and you can cancel for a full refund.

You may cancel an order for a full refund at any time before it ships.

If your book arrives damaged or incorrect, we’ll provide a replacement at no additional charge or a full refund.

Once a correct, undamaged book has been delivered, we generally do not accept returns simply because the customer changes their mind, subject to applicable law.

To request a cancellation, refund, or replacement, contact [email protected]. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method.

Shipping and pickup

Shipping within the United States is $8 for orders of one or two books. For orders of three or more books, please email us for a shipping quote before ordering. We do not ship outside the United States at this time.

Free local pickup is available by arrangement at our Mission Valley office in San Diego. After you pay, we’ll email you to set a time. Please don’t come by before you hear from us.

We’ll email you when your order ships or is ready for pickup.

Sales tax

Sales tax, where it applies, is calculated and shown at checkout before you pay.

Payments

Payments are processed securely by Stripe, and this website uses HTTPS. We do not see or store your complete payment card number. The Stripe checkout page may show the name of our sister business, Motivasean Coaching, because we use the same Stripe account.

Billing questions and disputes

If a charge looks wrong, please email us first at [email protected]. We’ll reply within two business days. You can also contact your card issuer at any time.

What we collect

When you order, Stripe collects your name, email address, payment information, and a shipping address when your order is shipped. We can see your name, email address, shipping address, order details, and payment status in our Stripe account. We do not see your full card number.

If you email or call us, we receive your email address or phone number and whatever you tell us.

If you reserved a copy before ordering opened, we keep the name, email address, edition, and quantity you gave us in a private Google spreadsheet, and use it only to let you know ordering is open. Email us to have it deleted.

We use this information to fill your order, to contact you about it, and to keep our records.

Who else sees it

Stripe processes payments and holds order records. Google handles our email and stores the private reservation spreadsheet. Cloudflare hosts this website and processes technical information, such as IP addresses, needed to operate and protect it. We do not sell personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep information as long as reasonably necessary for fulfillment, accounting, tax records, security, and applicable legal obligations.

Tracking

This website does not use advertising trackers, and we do not follow you across other websites.

Your choices and children

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, subject to the retention requirements above. This website is intended for adult parents and gift buyers, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
